בדיוק קראתי על זה לפני כמה ימים
לא היה לי מושג שזה פרויקט משותף של סגה עם שתי האקרים ידועים בתחום "משחקי מעריצים" של סוניק
הם בעצם עשו רימייק משאריות של המסך הזה. הוא לא באמת היה גמור

והכי מדהים בכל סיפור הזה שגם סוניק 2 הזה שיצא עכשיו וגם סוניק CD שיצא לסמאטרפונים ב2011 זה משחקים שהאקרים האלה עשו אותם מאפס על מנוע פרטי משלהם שנקראה Retro Engine
זאת אומרת המשחקים האלה לא פורטים ולא משתמשים באמולציה. ממש יצרו אותם מחדש עם מנוע שבכלל לא שייך לסגה

This version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was being developed by Sonic Retro Tech Members
The Taxman and Stealth, using a proprietary game engine named the "Retro Engine"
(first used in the 2011 version of Sonic CD)

As this was a remake instead of an emulated port, new features were added.
The new features were similar to the previous 16-bit game remasters.
The Taxman confirmed that no features from Sonic 2 would be excluded

New features included a remastered soundtrack,
the game running at 60 fps during normal and special stages,
and a remade version of the lost beta level Hidden Palace Zone.

על סוניק CD

Sonic CD is neither a port of the original game nor an emulated version.
It was re-built from scratch, allowing for a number of enhancements such as widescreen support,
online features, filters to change the way the game is displayed and a Sonic the Hedgehog 2-styled spindash option.
When the game is beaten once, Tails is unlocked. It is otherwise faithful to the original game.

It was developed by The Taxman using a proprietary game engine named the "Retro Engine",
an updated version of the engine used in Retro Sonic Nexus.
His efforts were picked up by Sega who published it for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, iOS and Android devices and PC in late 2011 and early 2012

וואו.. את זה לא ידעתי..
אז אני ממש לא מבין אם הם יצרו רימייק חדש, למה הם שמרו על הרזולוציה הנמוכה של המשחק המקורי? למה לא לעשות כבר גירסאת HD שמשחקת כמו המשחק המקורי, כמו שנעשה עם סטריט פייטר רמיקס?
(אולי המנוע הגרפי "Retro Engine" לא תומך ברזולוציות גבוהות..)

כנראה באמת כמו שאמרת, Retro Engine לא תומך בHD
